I need to stop looking through my blog archives...
God this blog is old, did you know my first post was 7.08.2004? That is pretty much 5 years ago. That really is forever in Internet time. Just like I figured out the other week that I have been on Twitter since Aug 21st, 2007. I have to say, for as short as my attention span is, I do stick with some things! Also to note, my spelling and grammar as improved a lot since 2004, now I can't say the same thing about my handwriting.

Hot damn it's May already...
I have kinda been in a funk lately. My weeks have just fallen into a pattern these past ten weeks since I started up my 2 masters classes this semester. Definitely a lot more work then just the one I took last semester, and I think I am going to just take one class a semester for a while, till either my work load gets lighter or I get better at managing my time. Because frankly having to go home to work and school work right after you just got done with work, is a sad and depressing thing.
Modeled two more t-shirts for Neatorama, see below. Tried to take the pictures outside, and my BF was the photographer. It was kinda odd doing the pictures with him, definitely made me feel more self conscious but the scenery is better!

Pluto: Proof That Size Matters

Something Somewhere Went Terribly Wrong
Wine and America's Next Top Model Finale tonight!! I want Allison to win, but since I am not patient, I have already read a ton of spoilers online. I agree with all the spoilers, and I bet any fan can see who is totally slated to win. I just hope Allison get's second, cause that would be awesome.
Ohh yea totally check out this Font Fight, made me crack up.

Is yoko meshi == yakamishi?
My family has a rice dish, yakamishi, that is much beloved and I always wanted to know what it means in Japanese. We certainly could have been butchering the pronunciation to get what we call it today.
I wonder if it was that my Dad's aunt didn't know that name so she just called it this?
yoko meshi [yoh-koh mesh-ee] (noun)
"Taken literally, meshi means 'boiled rice' and yoko means 'horizontal,' so combined you get 'a meal eaten sideways.'This is how the Japanese define the peculiar stress induced by speaking a foreign language: yoko is a humorous reference to the fact that Japanese is normally written vertically, whereas most foreign languages are written horizontally. How do English-speakers describe the headache of communicating in an alien tongue? I don't think we can, at least not with as much ease."

Back from CO...
My cousin's wedding went well, although for a bit I didn't think I was actually going to get to see it. We flew out on Thursday, our original flight was for 3:30pm but was canceled because of a snow storm. We got bumped to a 6:30pm flight, but when we landed the Blizzard was still in effect. So instead of renting a car, we decided to let someone else do the driving. Grabbed a taxi and then took the $120 ride to our hotel (we went to Denver, wedding/hotel was in Golden). For the rest of the trip the weather was awesome, but just that day we flew in it sucked.
My cousin did a fusion Japanese/Traditional wedding, she wore a beautiful kimono, and they did the 9 sake thing, as well as the normal stuff. The food and drink selection for the reception was awesome! Two kinds of sake as well as full bar, and then sushi on the buffet setup! Saturday, John, My brother, Anne, Emily and I did the Coors Brewery tour (highly recommended) and then just hung out in Historic Golden till we had to head to a family gathering. My uncle was renting a condo so we headed to his place for a get together, it was at the top floor of some 50 story building. The view of Denver was great.
Sunday John and I had the day to ourselves. We went shopping down the 6th street mall (a outdoor pedestrian street with shops), then hit the Colorado History Museum (we were desperate and had a lot of time to kill), and then ran out to Red Rocks (natural outdoor auditorium). By then it was time to hit the airport, and head home.
Forgot my camera, so I have to bug my brother to get some pics from him.

Just cause I am 26 doesn't mean I can't wear t-shirts to work...
So here is the newest batch of threadless tees, I have trying not to buy so many t-shirts because I should probably start dressing more like a grown up and all, since I did hit 26 this year. But then when I saw they were having the sale again, and there were some $5 tees I actually liked, I couldn't help myself.

BTW: Homemade skittle shots did not turn out the best, but they were pretty tasty mixed with stuff. But we also tried a recipe for Apple Pie shots, mmmm those were yummy.
